Mining lets you extract magical stones, smelt ores into Ingots, and eventually unlock rare minerals used for powerful Charms. It uses the Interact skill on mining nodes inside the Eternal Biosphere.

  • Can rent Mine Helm (5 days), and open Mining Shop.

  • Sells: Pick Axe (10,000 Zeny).

⛏️ What Mining Does (overview)

• Mine nodes (Aquastone, Flamestone, Dragonstone) for ores.

• Use Smelter NPC to smelt ores into Ingots (requires 18,000 ore points).

• Ingots are part of progression and used for crafting Charms later.

• Complete Instructor tasks to level from Lv.1 → Lv.2 → Lv.3, unlocking access to rarer ores.

Step-by-step Progression (exact, follow in order)

🪨 Mining — Start

• Talk to Mining Instructor (269,39).

• Receive Pick Axe ×10.

• First task: Mine 40 times.

⛏️ Mining Lv.1 — Tasks

• Mine 40 times (starter task).

• Mine 150–160 times (random number set by Instructor).

• Mine the same stone 15 times in a row.

  • Important: mining a different stone resets progress.

• Mine 110–120 times.

• Hammer 2 Stonerings (special mining nodes — use Interact).

• Craft 1 Ingot at the Smelter.

  • Ingots require 18,000 ore points (see below).

  • Must wear Mine Helm at Smelter.

✅ After smelting an ingot and showing it to the Instructor, you advance to Mining Lv.2.

⚒️ Mining Lv.2 — Tasks

• Mine 45–50 times.

• Mine 135–140 times.

• Mine with Great Success 15 times.

  • A “great success” is a special mining outcome.

• Mine 170–180 times.

✅ After completing these, you advance to Mining Lv.3 (max).

💎 Mining Lv.3 (Max)

• Unlocks rare ores:

  • Beryl

  • Novacrystal

  • Dragonite

• These ores are used in crafting Dragonstone Ingots and advanced items.

🧪 Smelting Rules (Smelter NPC)

• Each ingot requires 18,000 ore points.

• Points per ore type:

  • Aquastone ores → Mithril (15 pts), Azurite (75 pts), Beryl (150 pts)

  • Flamestone ores → Aetherite (15 pts), Firestone (75 pts), Novacrystal (150 pts)

  • Dragonstone ores → Obsidian (15 pts), Quartz (75 pts), Dragonite (150 pts)

• Example: 120 Dragonite = 18,000 pts.

• Smelter consumes ores until target points reached, then produces ingot.

• Must wear Mine Helm to smelt (NPC checks this).

📦 Shops & Tools

• Mining Shop (Caretaker option)

  • Sells Pick Axe (10,000 Zeny).

• Caretaker may rent you a Mine Helm (5 days) if you don’t own one.

• Always carry extra Pick Axes — they are consumed when mining.

💡 Tips & Common Pitfalls

• Always wear Mine Helm when smelting — without it the Smelter won’t work.

• For “mine same stone 15 times” → don’t switch ores, or the counter resets.

• Plan ore collection:

  • High-value ores (Beryl, Novacrystal, Dragonite = 150 pts each) speed up smelting.

• Check Instructor dialogs — he shows exact targets (e.g., “Mine 147 more times”).

• Keep spare Pick Axes — long count tasks (150+) will break tools.

• Lv.1: Access to basic ores, first ingot.

• Lv.2: Access to mid-tier ores, larger smelting and success tasks.

• Lv.3: Access to rare ores (Beryl, Novacrystal, Dragonite).
